2024 TEXAS TWO “STEP AWAY” WGA Scramble

Entry fee: $10 to be paid to the WGA. Salad buffet is $25 and drinks are on your account. Cart fee as needed. WGA fee as needed; cash, check or Venmo to @kathryn-wetzel-6

Format: A four-person team event in which each player hits her tee shot and the best shot is selected. The player whose shot is selected steps aside for the next shot. All other players then play the next shot from the position of the selected ball, placing or dropping within one club length of the original ball’s position (and within six inches on the putting green), no nearer the hole. The same procedure is used on all shots, including putts. The process continues until the ball is holed and starts over at the next hole. All players tee off on every hole. When dropping or placing the ball, the ball must stay in its original condition of play. For example, you cannot drop a ball from the rough into the fairway. When the ball is holed, that is the official score counted for the team. Threesomes follow the above format, but for the 4th player on each team, the players will rotate hitting a 2nd shot for the entire hole. The maximum score on each hole is Triple Bogey

Handicaps: Team HDCP - Scramble: 10% of team total handicap will be used.

Contests: Closest to the Pin #6 & #16. Proxy winners receive 25 CC points

Tees: All women will be playing from the RED TEES. Pro-shop generated teams. Ties will be broken using USGA recommended method of last 6, last 3, last 1, etc. All skill levels welcome.

Scoring: One player in each team will record the gross scores for each team on your scorecard.

Cinderella Cup Pts: 100 per person participation. 1st Place – 75. 2nd Place – 50 3rd Place – 25
